Nathan Taylor is a nationally recognized expert on Early American basketry. He has done extensive research on the history and crafting of baskets and is a teacher of teachers in the American art of basketmaking. He has also revived the lost art of Shaker basketry and consulted major Shaker museums. He co-authored Shaker Baskets, the definitive work on Shaker baskets, and Legend of the Bushwhacker Basket.
