Stave Beveller

The Stave Beveller is used to improve the tightness of your basket weave when using wooden staves. Pounded ash staves or any sawn stave materials have square edges that need to come off to achieve that classic Nantucket look. This is done by shaving off the sharp edges using this tool. The weavers will then lead themselves around the staves and lay down making a tighter and more even pattern. You may screw the stave beveller down on your work table or on another board which you may clamp to your table when you are using it.
